McCallum Family Scholarship Fund for Chillicothe High School Graduates
The McCallum Family Scholarship Fund for Chillicothe High School
Graduates was established by Scott McCallum in memory of his father
John L. McCallum. John was a graduate of the University of California,
Berkeley and was a Certified Public Accountant by trade. Education was
important to John and this scholarship will provide educational funds
in his memory.
Guidelines for Application
1. Nominee must be a graduate of Chillicothe High School, Chillicothe, Ohio.
2. Nominee must have not less than a “B” average (3.0 on a 4.0 grading scale)
3. Nominee must fill out an application.
4. Nominee must provide a self-expression synopsis
(250 words or more) describing themselves, interests, hobbies, and
goals. The synopsis should include activities in which the nominee has
engaged in during high school years, including organized out-of-school
activities (4-H Club, scouting, church organizations, etc.) as well as
those connected with school (class officer, music organizations,
athletics, publications, etc.).
5. Nominee shall provide transcripts from Chillicothe High School.
6. Nominee shall provide two recommendations from teachers, coaches, advisors, or other community leaders.
7. Scholarship is need-based and in preference is given to students from families of one parent or no parent.
8. The money may be used at a four year accredited university or college.
9. The money may be used only for tuition. Checks
will be written directly to the college or trade school or approved
entity. Any unused portion will be returned to the Fund.
10. The scholarship is renewable with documentation
from the university that a “C” average (2.0 GPA on a 4.0 grading scale)
has been maintained.
Mildred Cunningham/Dorothy Fuchsman Memorial Scholarship Fund
The Mildred Cunningham/Dorothy Fuchsman Memorial Scholarship Fund is
established to leave a lasting legacy in the memory of Mildred
Cunningham and Dorothy Fuchsman. Annually as funds are available, two
(2) $500 college scholarships are awarded to qualified senior students
graduating from Chillicothe High School.
Guidelines for Application

Adena Class of 1968 Scholarship Fund for Adena High School Graduates
The Adena Class of 1968 Scholarship Fund was established by members of
the Adena class of 1968 on October 29, 2009. Annually as funds are
available one (1) $500 college scholarship is awarded to a qualified
senior student graduating from Adena High School.
Guidelines for Application
1. Nominee must be a graduate of Adena High School, Frankfort, Ohio.
2. Nominee must have not less than a 2.5 Grade Point Average (2.5 GPA on a 4.0 grading scale).
3. Nominee must fill out an application.
4. Nominee must fill out an educational budget as financial need will be a consideration.
5. Nominee must write a self-expression synopsis (250
words or more) describing education goals and career plans.
6. Nominee shall provide transcripts from Adena High School.
7. Nominee shall provide two recommendations from teachers, coaches, advisors, or other community leaders.
8. The money may be used at any accredited college or trade school.
9. The money may be used for books and/or tuition.
Checks will be written directly to the college or trade school or
approved entity. Any unused portion will be returned to the fund.

Ben Hartsock Scholarship Fund

Giving back to his
home community, Unioto High School, Ohio State and NFL player Ben and
Amy Harsock provide several scholarships annually to local students.
Guidelines for Application
-
Nominees must be
a graduating senior of Chillicothe, Ohio High School or a Scioto Valley
(Ohio) Conference School.
- Nominees must
fill out an application complete with a picture.
- Nominee must
provide a one page autobiography (250 words or more) describing
themselves, interests, hobbies, and goals.
- Nominee must
provide an information sheet that should include activities in which
the nominee has engaged in during high school years (class officer,
music organizations, athletics, publications, etc.) and organized
out-of-school activities (4-H Club, scouting, church organizations,
etc.). Information sheet should also include any awards or honors
received.
- Nominee must
include two letters of recommendations from teachers, coaches, advisors
or other community leaders.
- Nominee shall
provide a High School transcripts from High School.

Scholarship Fund
As a lasting memory to Mary
Margaret Black a Ross County, Ohio resident concerned about education,
an annual scholarship provides funds for college students. As
funds are available, a scholarship up to $2500 is available annually.

Memorial Fund

Honoring
the memory of Mr. Roy A. Congrove, a basketball coach and mentor to
Zane Trace High School students, annually scholarships are awarded to
Zane Trace graduates.

playing football and/or baseball.
Paige Halley - A
4-year letterman in 3 sports with all SVC and district honors, Paige
will attend West Virginia University working toward a degree in
pharmacy.
Jared Timmons -
Graduation 7th in his class, Jared will attend Ohio
University-Chillicothe before transferring to Ohio State University to
complete a degree in pharmacy.
Justine Zilli -
Wright State University in Dayton is where Justine will attend to
complete a degree in business/marketing to pursue a career in the
fashion industry.

In lasting memory of their
parents, the daughters of Roger and Emily Benner, have
established annual scholarships, to qualified graduates of Paint Valley
High School, Bainbridge, Ohio.

Bicentennial Scholars Fund
The Chillicothe
Bicentennial Scholars Fund was established by the Chillicothe
Bicentennial Commission to leave a lasting legacy of its successful and
memorable celebration of Chillicothe's remarkable history of two
hundred years. Annually two (2) $1,000 college scholarships are awarded
to qualified students graduating seniors from Chillicothe High School.
